Accreditation
Calvert Education Services is accredited both by the Commission on Elementary Schools, a division of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. The Calvert curriculum is internationally recognized among independent schools. Courses are approved by the Maryland State Department of Education, and the school is a member of the Educational Records Bureau and the National Association of Independent Schools.
In addition, Calvert’s program is correlated to state standards. Calvert regularly reviews all courses and introduces new materials after considering state standards and the standards established by the National Council for Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), National Council for Teachers of English (NCTE), National Council for Teachers of Social Studies (NCSS), and National Science Teachers Association (NSTA), as well as the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE).
